Note from the Youth Pastor:
Our teens are our future. They are the next generation.
We live in a society that is fast paced, constantly changing, and growing; a society that is moving further away from God's Word and His teachings. Our Christian faith rests heavily on the next generation.
Here at Auburn Baptist Church, our main goal is to reach the lost, but I believe that it is vital to the success of a young person's life to be equipped to serve The Lord!
During Sunday School, the teen boys meet with myself and the teen girls meet with my wife, Brooke. Those classes are geared toward establishing and keeping a nonstop relationship with our Lord and saviour, Jesus Christ.
We strive to teach that the Bible is the most fundamental aspect of our walk with God Almighty. On Wednesday Nights all the teens meet together at 7:00 in the teen room. I try to relate our struggles and triumphs to the characters of the Bible; most importantly, Jesus! We play games and enjoy fellowship with one another. We have youth activities at least once a month and attend camps, conferences, and revivals throughout the year.
It is my goal to keep the teens as involved as possible in church because our country has painted the wrong picture for them to live by. I tell the teens all the time that we need to grow together in God and unite to make a difference because they are the next generation!
Youth Group is at 7:00pm every Wednesday night
Youth Choir practices at 5:30 every Sunday night
